Take note of this beautiful painting. It is the masterpiece of a soon to be famous artist...and it was painted by my three year old son! We decided to get some craft paraphernalia so that we could do art work during the day! He absolutely loves it. We got construction paper so we could draw on it with markers. He has a blast. He especially likes the scissors so he can cut the paper. So yesterday we took the paints outside and went to work. It was a little cold when we were painting so we didn't get to do it very long but had a blast while doing it. At first I was a little uptight about getting the paint on the ground outside...cause we live in gov't housing and you can't damage it in anyway otherwise you pay for it big time. But Once I saw that he was doing fine (keeping it on the brown paper bag underneath his paper) I was fine. I really got to enjoy the time with him that I had. Such imagination he has! It was fun to paint my own painting too! I think personally that Josiah's painting came out better then mine but mine still wasn't too bad!
It's times like those that you have to just stop worrying about the little things in life and enjoy the time that you have with your kids. Enjoy the fun times while you have them cause your kids grow up way too fast...before I know it - Josiah will be a teenager and in a completely different point in his life.
